Rukwai is a beauty services and products platform that connects clients with stylists, services, products, bookings, product orders, in-app messages, promotions, and support. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Rukwai mobile app and related services.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Rukwai, we may collect:

• Account details such as name, phone number, email address, role, and password credentials.
• Google Sign-In information such as your Google account email, name, and authentication identifier.
• Stylist business information such as business name, logo, profile photo, address, services, products, prices, images, working hours, portfolio images, and contact details.
• Client activity such as bookings, product orders, cart items, order totals, booking history, ratings, reviews, and support requests.
• Messages and conversation information sent through the in-app chat feature.
• Device and notification data such as Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens used to send push notifications.
• Technical information such as app errors, device type, and basic usage information needed to keep the service working properly.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage client and stylist accounts.
• Show stylists, services, products, prices, portfolios, and business profiles to clients.
• Process bookings, product orders, order status updates, ratings, reviews, and sales records.
• Enable in-app messaging between clients and stylists.
• Send notifications about messages, bookings, orders, promotions, account activity, and important service updates.
• Improve app reliability, security, support, and user experience.
• Prevent misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and unsafe activity on the platform.

Sharing of Information

Rukwai shares information only where needed to operate the platform. For example, a stylist may see the client details needed to manage a booking or order, and a client may see stylist business details, services, products, images, and contact options. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Rukwai may use trusted third-party services, including:

• Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication for account sign-in.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
• Hosting and server providers used to run the Rukwai backend, admin dashboard, database, and media files.
• WhatsApp, phone dialer, browser, and sharing apps when you choose to use those features from your device.

Images and Media

Stylists may upload logos, profile images, service images, product images, portfolio images, and promotional images. These images may be displayed publicly inside the Rukwai app or on Rukwai share pages where relevant.

Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect account and platform data. However, no system is completely secure. Users should keep account passwords private and report suspicious account activity as soon as possible.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain booking and order records, meet legal or operational needs, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.

Your Choices

You may:

• Update your account or business profile information in the app where available.
• Disable push notifications from your device settings.
• Contact us to request support with account information, access, correction, or deletion.

Children

Rukwai is intended for users who can lawfully create accounts and use booking or marketplace services. The app is not directed to children under 13.
